100%....(its actually fool proof.. it has to be, it was written by me!!)

Will it work?

I GUARANTEE that if you stick to EVERYTHING I suggest then not only will you see the scales move in the right direction for once you may not want to look at a bar of chocolate EVER again!!

Shall we begin?

Lets start with YOU, if these next few sentences resonate with you then just nod your head gently and refrain from yelling at your phone, tablet or whatever else you are reading this on.

  • I'm ok through the day, I can keep to clean (ish) eating but when the kids have finished eating or I’ve eaten my main evening meal I'm like a woman POSSESSED!! I HAVE to have something sweet!!
  • Whenever I’ve eaten something I CRAVE sweets right afterwards, preferably CHOCOLATE!!!
  • I just cant stop at one piece of chocolate….I HAVE to eat the bloody lot!!
  • I think of chocolate at LEAST 5 times a day
  • If I'm sad, I want chocolate!
  • If I'm happy I want chocolate!
  • Its THAT time of the month…I NEED chocolate!
  • You have a SECRET stash that NOBODY knows about (possibly several)
  • If you went through your range of handbags or coat pockets you will find a chocolate wrapper of some sorts!
  • Coffee isn’t the same without chocolate
  • The more crap you eat the more you want chocolate
  • TO stop yourself from eating chocolate you HIDE bars of the stuff in the hope you will forget about them
  • When you cant find the secret stash you could seriously commit GBH on anyone who gets in your way
  • Relaxation involves chocolate in there somewhere
  • Going to the movies wouldn’t be fun if chocolate wasn’t involved?
  • When someone offers you some chocolate you say no politely (normally because you’ve told everyone you’re on a diet) but you could literally TEAR their hand off for some
  • One bar of chocolate turns into a bar fest of some sorts…one bar is NEVER enough
  • You’ve stolen a piece of chocolate off a nephew/niece/son/daughter and not told anyone and wasn’t even sorry!!! (you naughty girl)
  • Doesn’t matter what the problem is chocolate is the answer?
  • When you eat a bar of chocolate you eat it like a lady and take your time over each mouthful, enjoying each and every bite but it when it comes to bar number 2-3-4 you don't even remember taking the wrapper off!!
  • Its legal to eat chocolate first thing in the morning if its Easter, Christmas (every day over the holiday) birthdays, sat in the airport lounge, ANYTIME on holiday. If your child eats it first thing and you sneak one too…..just because they did it, its cool for you as well!!

  • If your feeling frisky, the idea of getting warm chocolate poured on you is SUCH A FUCKING WASTE!!! Why should they get to eat all of the chocolate!!...selfish bastards!!

Any of them??

Definitely not the last one eh!!

If you answered YES more than you answered NO then you’re ADDICTED my lovely little chocolate monster!

So Who Am I And Why Are You Listening To Me??

I'm guessing here but I'm presuming we already know each other personally or you've seen the stuff I post on social media?

Either way, I'm so happy you have decided to purchase this course to help you beat your chocolate addiction in 28 days. There are going to be tantrums and tears along the way and I'm going to do my utmost to explain WHY you are doing what you are doing but first let me introduce myself if you don't know me.

Hi my name is Carl Norman. I'm a Personal Development Coach, basically I help people move forward with their lives in one way or another using my skills in Life Coaching and NLP. I am a qualified chef, fitness fanatic, martial artist and my past life was involved with personal security of high status clients escorting them all over the world. I got involved in helping people lose weight about 6 years ago now. I was living in Marbella at the time with my family and I was introduced to someone who was already in the weight loss business who suggested I also get involved, once I took a look how this guy was helping hundreds if not thousands of people just like you I decided that I couldn't let an opportunity of such magnitude go amiss. I had already qualified as a chef when I was 20 years old and looked after myself fitness wise due to the business I was involved with so the knowledge was there. At the time I had a gym in old town Marbella so the transition to help more people was extensive to say the least.

Today I do 4 week physical programs for my clients and I also have an extensive online business as far and wide as the USA and Australia. I'm in a fortunate position to be able to help people remotely with weight loss issues with courses like this. And Id like to help you.

Below are just a few people who I have helped transform their lives, your picture could be up there one day!

Lets Begin at The Beginning

For the last 100 years and even WAY before that we have tried to preserve food by whatever means where available, however, over the last 50-60 years the big food companies have done some very clever things to food and when I mean clever I actually mean SNEAKY, you see they’ve made them quite addictive, take for instance the phycology side of eating chocolate. You may think the colour of the wrapper of your favourite bar of chocolate was just something they plucked from the air and thought lets go with that one…OH NO!! They work with psychologists, scientists, behavioral experts and the highest paid marketing agencies in the world, and their job is to ensure that when you see the deep purple colour of a Cadbury wrapper (there are other chocolates available…legalities) that you automatically think of their chocolate melting in your mouth…and here’s a thing, our sensory intuitions SWITCH on when we see it, our mouth is filled with saliva, our stomachs groan in the anticipation of chocolate and we actually start produce feel good hormones before we have even tasted it!!

How WEIRD is that????

And all thanks to the clever people who produce your favourite chocolate bar my friend…

But the big one is this…

They are filled with additives that make you crave more…..that’s right, they don't want you to have just one bar, they want you to have two or three...!

Its been said that chocolate is more addictive then cocaine, can you believe that??

Getting back to the first point, food has to last so much longer nowadays, think about it, its shipped all over the world, normally on boats for weeks or months on end, again, they have to have something in the ingredients that ensures its freshness, so how is this information helping you with kicking the chocolate habit. Well firstly, we have to UNDERSTAND that you have been put in this situation and the clever people from the chocolate industry have played their merry little game with you by way of all the tricks in the book to make you think of the chocolate by the colour of the wrapper, which in turn makes you think about the taste and texture which obviously makes you want to buy it and eat it..correct?

The problem is this, these additives and preservatives have an effect on your hormones and I'm only telling you this because I want you to understand what goes on inside your body when you consume chocolate.

Insulin

Insulin is a hormone made by the pancreas, the pancreas is situated in between the stomach and the spine. Insulin allows your body to use sugar (glucose) from carbohydrates in the food that you eat for energy or to store glucose for future use. Insulin also helps keeps your blood sugar level from getting too high (hyperglycemia) or too low (hypoglycemia).
Its important to explain at this point on how carbohydrates are broken down into glucose (sugar that the body can use for energy)..
Lets keep this REALLY simple.
When you eat something and it’s broken down and our body utilises it for whatever purpose is needed.

Protein

Protein is used for repairing and building muscle in its basic sense. It is broken down into Amino Acids, which in turn are used for many different bodily functions. When the body has limited number of carbohydrates and fat for energy protein can be utilised instead.

Fats

Fats provide over half the amount of the body’s need for energy, when we ingest fat its converted to fatty acids which the cells need to convert to tiny little bundles of energy. Once the cells are full these fatty acids are converted to triglycerides which are stored in the fat cells. The body is VERY efficient in storing these, which is why it’s important to monitor your intake of fats.

Carbohydrates

Carbohydrates are broken down and converted to glucose, the body’s preferred type of usable sugar. Glucose is then stored in the muscles and we use this for energy whenever we complete a physical task. The liver also stores glucose in case of emergencies and we obviously have fats and then protein should we run out. The key to carbs is that we actually need them to function so an extreme LOW Carb diet can bring on a host of complications in the body giving us brain fog and this is because needs glucose to function, the brain cannot use fatty acids from fats directly so molecules are made which are called ketones. You may have actually heard of the Ketone Diet, this is basically a LOW-CARB diet where the body is forced to make these new cells therefore burning more fat in the process. This can come with its risks though and a diet of this sort should be monitored on a continuous basis.

SO getting back to the function of Insulin, this little paragraph should explain how it works and why its so important to have a balance of all the nutrients you need in the right quantities.

The billions of cells in your body need sugar for energy, as we discussed above, this is converted into GLUCOSE. However, glucose cannot go into most of your cells directly and the process of unlocking the cells is something that is performed by way of insulin production.
After you eat food and your blood sugar level rises, and your pancreas is signaled to release insulin into your bloodstream. Insulin then attaches to and signals cells to absorb sugar from the bloodstream. Insulin is often described as a “key,” which unlocks the cell to allow sugar to enter the cell and be used for energy. As described above, when the cell is FULL the excess glucose is then stored in the fat cells for periods throughout the day when blood sugar levels are low, say in between meals or after a burst of energy. The problems arise when there is too much sugar in the system and pancreas does not release enough insulin, which is called hyperglycemia.

This is a basic explanation but if you are unsure of the process Id advise you to read over the paragraphs again, this is a step you not should not skip as its paramount your brain makes a connection to the complications having too much sugar in your blood stream and the knock on affect this has with fat storage.

So what the HELL has all of this got to do with chocolate addiction??

Picture

SIMPLE!!!

If you don't understand how the process works then how you gonna fix it? It’s a bit like wanting to change the oil on the car and lifting up the bonnet and not knowing where to start, ok, you could directly to mechanic and they can do it for you but this is YOUR body and the only alternative is going to the doctors to ask advice about something you have FULL control over yourself, understanding how you function can only be determined by YOU.

To make the changes within yourself will need some basic understanding of the process.

Think of any other diet you have done before, did you 100% understand how it worked, did you check the ingredients on your shake, pill or ready made meal to see how it worked with YOUR body….I doubt you did, you maybe had a glance and thought, well, if it worked for them (maybe a friend who had suggested it to you or some celebrity endorsed it) then it will work for me??

I honestly don't know and at this point I don't really care what you did in the past, my main priority right now is that YOU understand what is going on inside your body and the steps WE are going to take to ABOLISH those cravings ONCE AND FOR ALL!

Just give me the INFORMATION!!!

After reading the last few paragraphs I totally understand where you are coming from..JUST SHOW ME HOW!!!

I get it, and its why most people Yo-Yo Diet for the whole of there lives, they simply don't UNDERSTAND how their bodily functions work, they do however know when something is NOT working and normally seek help from a doctor who will more than likely prescribe a pill to help you sort that issue out but isn't that like putting a plaster of a gaping wound, its exactly what we spoke about before and wanting a quick fix.

If you give me 28 Days I will open up a whole NEW world to you which will enable you to be considerably lighter, hormonally balanced and have a POSITIVE mindset to carry on with your healthy lifestyle.

All you need to do is follow each step and cut out certain foods and introduce others along the way, we are going to do this step by step so follow it to the letter. If you skip anything then you will something invaluable.

How to do this so it works for you

I want us to get to a point where you read this day by day, not rush it all at once. Study each paragraph written and absorb the words and make meaning from them. This isn't about losing weight although the DIRECT knock on effect is that you WILL!

You can do one of two things:

DO what you have done before and rush in and try to do everything at once...

OR...

You can follow a STEP by STEP guide to follow each and every day.
Picture
Use this program as your daily reading guide to a new way of thinking and living

Is that REALLY possible?

It is if you have made a decision to change!

Recognize that chocolate addiction has taken a hold of your goals and given them a setback.

Most people go through life from one day to the next, they had dreams, but for now it seems that if they get through one day at a time and are minimally pleased they did. They live for the weekend and take that as a time to relax and enjoy some down time..and rightfully so!!

Its increasingly hard to live up to expectations, what with social media and reality TV parading beautiful women telling you how WONDERFUL life is and they are having the time of their lives..

In some cases its true but for the most is pure BULLSHIT!

Listen, we all have issues, some people parade every high and low on Facebook and expect a miracle to happen if they do...if they are having a bad time of it then the world should know! FRIENDS to the rescue asking is everything ok, call me, you can do this!!..etc..etc...

The truth of it is that we are pretty well much on our own, we are adults after all, we call the shots on how we should behave and this is an important step in moving forward with this program. I'm not going to go into great detail over mindset but if you have not read my book The Diet Less Brain or my online video course about Mindset and Weight Loss then message me and I will give you the details for both.

All I can say to you is that you need to take control, you need to do that NOW and you need to continue with your journey

Is this ALL about the chocolate??

The simple answer to that is NO!

For decades you could have tried almost every diet there is out there, in fact, statistically women over the age of 45 have tried up to and over 61 different diets in there lifetime!!

That's quite a shocking statistic isn't it?

Why would you do one thing once and realize that it didn't work and then try another one with the hope that it would? The key to this question lies in the word HOPE, we hope it will work this time but we fail to understand that the body will learn to adapt, its not just about the chocolate its about the balance of hormones that will dictate what you crave, how you feel and ultimately how you will act.  Its not purely about making a choice to ban chocolate..its FAR more difficult than that and this course will help you along the way to make better decisions on what your choices are. So forget about the chocolate for a second and thing about the impact of anything you place in your mouth that you will use to fuel your body.

Make sense?

Fixing your metabolism

If you have gained fat around your waist then this is a tell tale sign that your hormones are out of sync and that your metabolism has taken a little knock, when I say little, it really depends on obviously how much weight you have gained and how your metabolism has been effected. The Thyroid regulates the metabolism and if this is not be functioning to its highest capacity then you can accept that sometime soon in the future you will be prescribed something like thyroxine. Its very common place now and the sad part is that the majority of people who are on it don't need to be, but your doctor hasn't got the time to go over lifestyle changes with you, they cant allocate more time to discuss a LIFE PLAN that will give you the best possible chance of a healthy and happy future....its up to YOU to do that.

The hormonal fix

I said in the beginning that I didn't want to baffle you with science and that is true, however, we need to understand what is actually happening hormonally inside our bodies and work from the inside out. There is really no need at this point to address emotional, boredom and binge eating issues, this is a separate course in itself and one that we haven't got time to go into in this program.

Estrogen
Insulin
Leptin
Cortisol
Thyroid
Testosterone
Growth hormone

Now these hormones are linked, there are also MANY others but over the next 21 days we will be mainly focusing on what these do and how they affect the way you feel and what impact they have on your body.

So very quickly, lets look at each one.

Estrogen

This hormone is the reason girls become women, it helps develop your characteristics as a female. What people don't know is that it also helps control cholesterol levels, it protects bone health for men and women (men have estrogen too but in smaller amounts) it can also affect your moods so getting balance right for you is PARAMOUNT!

Estrogen is released primarily from the ovaries in a woman and testes in a man but fat is also an endocrine system and estrogen can be produced from these cells as well. Now for many reason the body can produce WAY too much Estrogen which will have an adverse effect on weight gain which will see weight stored on your waist hips and thighs, this is because you have more receptor sites in these areas and estrogen is attracted to the parts of the body where you have lots more of these cells.

But some other issues surrounding high estrogen can be:
  • Menstrual problems, either heavy or light bleeding
  • Worsening of PMS (pre-menstrual syndrome)
  • Fibrocystic breasts (non cancerous breast lumps)
  • Fibroid's (non cancerous tumors in the uterus)
  • Loss of sex drive
  • Fatique
  • Depressed or anxious

If you have low estrogen levels then your systems could be:
  • Less frequent menstrual periods
  • Hot flushes
  • Trouble sleeping which has a knock on effect to Cortisol which is the stress hormone
  • Low sex drive
  • Dry skin

The easiest way to explain this is in very easy to understand terms:

Remember those Pac-Man games, they  where like big mouths and would move around the maze eating up anything that got in its way, you had to dodge it and escape and win the game? think of Insulin as the Pac-Man, they move inside your blood stream eating up all the sugar and they then transport all of the sugar they can to the muscles and liver for storage. If they miss a little bit of sugar or cant hold enough in their mouths or find that the fat cell cant hold all of the contents from their mouths then the left overs are stored in the fat cells which has no issue with holding as much as it likes, actually the more the merrier as its like a back up service for energy, the issues arise when you don't expend enough energy and you take more in than you use = more fat storage!
Picture

Leptin

This is an interesting one for you..or not! Leptin comes from the Greek word Leptos which means THIN!

The primary role of Leptin is to control hunger, it basically sends a signal to your brain telling it to STOP eating!! It also controls energy expenditure of the long term.

Fat cells produce leptin in proportion to body-fat levels:  so the more fat you have, the more it makes Leptin.

Leptin enters the bloodstream via your blood system, it then binds to protein in the blood, and when leptin reaches capillaries in the brain, it travels across the blood-brain barrier.  Leptin lets your hypothalamus (gland in the brain) know when it’s time for you to stop eating, then it increases your metabolic rate in order to achieve energy balance known as homeostasis, this is the body's way of getting balance

Leptin also tells us when to eat – when you have less body fat, less leptin signals the brain, and you get the message  “I’m hungry!”

This little hormone is MASSIVELY important if it is out of control in anyway, take for example eating a big meal, we normally get to a point when enough is enough but some people can EAT and EAT and EAT...especially sweet stuff like chocolate! Getting this hormone in balance will alleviate this problem and ensure you know when to stop!!
Picture

Cortisol

I have to admit, this is my favourite hormone!

Why?

Simply because its responsible for so much trouble its unbelievable, its like the naughty hormone and reminds me of being a naughty kid at school!!

Cortisol is produced from cholesterol in the two adrenal glands located on top of each kidney. It is normally released in response to events and circumstances such as waking up in the morning which is when its at its highest, exercising, and stressful situations. The later being a big issue with weight gain. Have you ever wondered what happens when we get stressed, let me try to explain as simply as possible. We go into something called the fight or flight syndrome, heard of it? Well, its when we make a split second decision to stay and fight or we run like the wind..now, not every situation is the same when we get stressed but the same internal actions of this hormone being present in the blood system is!

When adrenaline is released, which is a by-product of being stressed, the body also secretes a certain amount of glucose, simply because it cant tell if you are being chased by a saber tooth tiger or you just had a major bust up with your better half on the phone, the release of hormone is EXACTLY the same! the reason the glucose is released is because its designed to give you a little bit of energy, but if you don't need it then its simply stored in the...you guessed it!! FAT CELLS!! and unfortunately for you, you have more receptor cells (where those little fellas like to hang around) on your stomach!! DOUBLE WHAMMY!! Stressed and holding onto more fat, of all places your STOMACH!!!

Blood great eh!!!

Now you may be thinking, hang on Carl, if there is glucose in the blood system then what about the release of Insulin??..why isnt that doing its job??

Simply put, when there is cortisol in the blood system it switches OFF insulin production, why? well, it thinks that you need the extra sugar to give you a burst of energy!

Told you it was naughty didn't I!!
Picture

Thyroid

The thyroid is a small gland at the base of your neck that makes thyroid hormone, its butterfly in shape and is situated just below your Adams apple. Thyroid hormone controls many activities in your body, including how fast you burn calories and how fast your heart beats.  It controls how fast you burn calories by way of controlling your metabolism.  Diseases of the thyroid cause it to make either too much or too little of the hormone. Depending on how much or how little hormone your thyroid makes, you may often feel restless or tired, or you may lose or gain weight. Women are more likely than men to have thyroid diseases, especially right after pregnancy and after menopause.

I honestly don't want to go too much int detail with regards to this gland, simply because if I rolled off all the symptoms and issues you can get from an under-active or overactive thyroid you may just misdiagnose yourself and worry yourself sick! Lets not!!
Picture

Testosterone

If your body produces too much testosterone, you may have irregular or absent menstrual periods. You may also have more body hair than the average woman. Some women with high testosterone levels develop frontal balding.

High levels of testosterone can also lead to infertility and are commonly seen in polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). PCOS is an endocrine (hormone) condition that is sometimes seen in women of childbearing age who have difficulty getting pregnant. Women with PCOS have symptoms similar to those produced by high testosterone levels. They include:
  1. Obesity
  2. An apple shaped body
  3. Excessive or thinking hair
  4. Menstrual irregularity

SO the reason we have to ensure there is a good balance of Testosterone is is because you may or may not know that have insulin resistance (Insulin resistance is a condition in which the body produces insulin but does not use it effectively. When people have insulin resistance, glucose builds up in the blood instead of being absorbed by the cells, leading to type 2 diabetes or pre-diabetes as explained earlier in the Pac-Man story) You could also have Carbohydrate Intolerance which is basically your body's inability to break down and use carbohydrates effectively
Picture

Growth Hormone

Growth hormone is produced and secreted from cells located in the anterior pituitary gland which is located in the brain. It’s released in pulses. These pulses are controlled by the hypothalamus (gland in the brain), which sends signals to either shut off the release or initiate a pulse of growth hormone into the bloodstream.

Your probably thinking why you need to know this information, fact is you don't but if you grasp the basics of what is going on inside of you then maybe you just might understand that its not just one thing that is to help yo with your chocolate cravings so lets look at why this hormone is so important.

If you have a limited supply of growth hormone then the protein you have in your diet is not properly metabolized and synthesized, which is just a posh way of saying its not broken down enough for the body to be able to use it properly to help you build and repair muscle tissue. NOT GREAT if you want your metabolism to run efficiently and burn MORE fat!!

NOT HAPPENING!!!

We need to produce more of this hormone so here's a checklist of things that help promote more production:

SLEEP (getting at least 7 hours of deep sleep at night)

INTENSE EXERCISE (not the steady state cardio stuff you see promoted by most coaches)

FASTING (going several hours without eating, this is done in a controlled way)

If you have high blood sugar levels, don't get enough sleep, do the WRONG type of exercise then these will decrease the production of growth hormone and all your best efforts of staying lean are right out of the nearest window!!
Picture

Other hormones

There are many other hormones that we could talk about in this course but to be honest Id just be showing off my knowledge and this is most definitely NOT about me!

As you progress through your own journey you will want to learn more about your body and how it works (or so you should) and when you see signs of illness you may just be able to pinpoint the issue and work out what is needed to help you.

Ive listed a few other hormones so you don't think I'm being biased to the ones above, they ALL have relevance to you health and fat loss but this course would go on for ever and a day if I went into each and everyone of them and told you there role in your well being.

Melatonin

Progesterone

Oxytocin

Epinephrine

Ghrelin

To name but a few!

Picture

Balance

I believe that balance is the KEY word we can use when it comes to our lives, i honestly do! You may have read all of the above and thought "what the hell....all of this stuff is so boring and I don't understand most of it".. and whilst I understand completely that anything new is difficult to sink in at first, but perseverance and commitment IS the KEY!

Find your own balance when you have committed this course and let me know how you feel!
